Hi there! Thanks for visiting.
I’m Dave Mac. I’m a 42 year old Australian guy living in Osaka, Japan.
I moved to Japan in 2006. I instantly fell in love with Japan’s convenience and lifestyle, so I decided to make it my home.
For 7 years now I’ve been helping people to improve their presentation skills through my training and coaching.
My background is computer programming and I have worked in many industries from marketing through to banking across Asia, America, Europe, and Africa.
Working in the IT field opened my eyes to just how awful business presentations can be.
No matter what industry it is or what the location, people are notoriously bad at delivering presentations. In my professional life I have spent countless hours bored out of my brains watching “leaders” read bullet points to the audience from their slides.
From the vast majority of terrible business presentations I watched, along with the occasional gem, I worked out the key elements to making a successful, engaging presentation. The type of presentation which can lead people to action. The type of presentation that people actually want to listen to.
I’ve also worked out the shortcuts anyone can use to improve their presentation skills, fast.
Public speaking is a nerve-wracking, stressful experience. The experience is made worse when nerves or stress cause us to forget what we were going to say, lose our place, stutter, or operate the equipment incorrectly.
The purpose of this blog is to help you overcome the nerves and stress of presenting. There are tips and techniques here that you won’t find anywhere else. The insider secrets that will calm your nerves, allow you to speak clearly, and engage your audience from beginning to end.
